Couples Therapy

Rebuild connection and rediscover each other

Couples therapy is not about deciding who's right. It's about understanding what's getting in the way — and finding a path back to each other.

Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples

I specialize in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), one of the most well-researched couples therapy modalities available. EFT works by identifying the negative cycles that keep couples stuck, and then helping both partners access the deeper emotions and attachment needs that drive those patterns.

The goal is not just to stop fighting — it is to build a more secure emotional bond, so that you and your partner feel safe turning toward each other even in difficult moments.

I work with couples at all stages: dating, engaged, newly married, long-term partnerships, and couples navigating the question of whether to stay or go.

I also weave in Gottman Method principles and Terry Real's Relational Life Therapy to help couples develop healthier communication, repair trust, and build lasting emotional safety.

Negative cyclesWe identify the pursue-withdraw or attack-defend patterns that keep you stuck.
Underlying emotionsBeneath anger and distance are usually fear, hurt, and longing — we work with those.
Attachment securityWe build the foundation for a relationship where both partners feel safe and seen.
New responsesYou learn to reach for each other differently — and respond differently when reached for.
